I'm not much of a nostalgic person. I love where I am now. I love my husband, my pupster, my budding company. The one thing I do get horribly nostalgic for though, is living with lots of animals. Most people don't believe me when I go down the list of all the animals I grew up with.
We had a sort of "unconventional farm." We didn't have a barn or a big fenced in field, but we had plenty of chickens, some goats, a couple of sheep, ducks, geese (that couldn't fly to boot), and all sorts of rabbits too. But we also had a pet squirell, a pair of dachshunds, a ton of cats and even two raccoons who we rescued when they were just babies. We grew up basically rescuing and keeping any animal who ended up on our doorstep.
So of course when I some gorgeous farm photos on Miss Bleubird's blog I couldn't help following the links to these amazing farm blogs. The top photos are from Peaked Mountain Farm's Blog and Longest Acre below.
PS I'd totally keep a little piglet in the apartment with us if I could...
Or if I can figure out how to... hmmm...

I am totally with you on wanting a piglet. I researched our city laws last year to see if I could have one, but alas, no :'(

That's quiet the load of animals you had on your farm! Reminds me of my farm when I was growing up we had cows, chickens, a goose and a duck that were best friends, rabbits everywhere, goats, dogs, cats and at one time even a few pigs. It's such a great way to grow up and learn to care of things and have that kind of responsibility.
Cheers to farm life! :)
