I love Valentines Day.
Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one, but I totally do.
My mommom even gives us little gifts and the super cutest cards every year for Valentines and I always look forward to it! Not to mention I have a handsome man to cuddle up with too:)
Perhaps you remember the little Faux-Molskine Notebook DIY (sometimes called "cashiers") I did a bit ago? Well I wanted to update that little idea a little bit and make something cute and a little different for the holiday. So I added some printed text and gave it a little "binding" and ta-da!
It was all pretty easy.
After cutting out the cover from a nice-sized Bisquick box, I grabbed the lyrics from Regina Spektor's "I Want to Sing" (One of my all-time favorites) and put them into photoshop and picked a font I liked (I love this type-writer reminiscent one:).
I put my notebook cover in my printer with the kraft side up and had the computer print it for a full-size piece of paper (even though the cover is much smaller) so that it would "bleed over" a little bit. And then trimmed it down to make sure the text "bled" over properly.
After that I just put it together using the method I showed here and and then added a few layers of masking tape to the edge to make it look "bound."
They're so easy and pretty darn quick to make if you need a last minute gift,
or maybe to make yourself one:)
