It's no secret that I love to customize gift wrapping and make something unique for every gift I give. So when I was wrapping up a gift for my amazing and lovely mommom's birthday, I wanted to make a cute little gift tag that went along with the "antique-y" type feel the gift had, so I decided to tea dye tags!
I love these plain old manilla tags I got from staples. I use them on all of my Fox&Vintage orders and just adore the simplicity of them and decided they were perfect for this project. Whatever paper you do use, you want to make sure it's nice and thick and can hold up to being submerged in water.
It's really simple! steep one or two black tea bags in hot water and pour into a dish that can fit your tags or paper. Submerge your tags (you can use a spoon to submerge them if your water is still hot) and allow to sit for 5-10 minutes. Remove and allow to drip dry on a cooling rack over night.
I used this great stamp set that I got from Paper Source a while back to print "Birthday Girl" on my tag.
I love how they look like type-writer letters!
I really love how they came out! I can't wait to try tea-dying on more things!
