If you've been reading my blog for a little bit, you probably noticed I am definitely not one of those girls who buys something, wears it once, and then it never sees the light of day again. One of my favorite things about blogging has been sort of 'pushing' my style to use what I have, but wearing them in a new and interesting ways. Over time I've realized how some items are so basic and easy to 'remix' that I feel like I couldn't live without them, so I thought I'd share some of them:)
A DENIM DRESS
I actually have two denim dreses (both from Target!) and seem to wear one, or both, weekly! Since denim is a sort of 'neutral' it's one of the easiest things to change up and constantly create new looks with.
A GINGHAM/PLAID SHIRT
Since I wear a lot of grey, khaki, and other toned-down colors, a bright, fun ghinham shirt is an absolute must to keep things from getting too boring. I brought this bad boy on vacation a few months ago and wore it almost every other day, and a different way each time!
A KHAKI SKIRT
It's funny to me that when magazines do their "must have basics" list that a khaki skirt is almost never on them! Ever since I got this one from Gap a few years ago I wear it at least once a week and never have a problem finding new ways to style it - not to mention it is super comfy!
I also scored a nice J.Crew one at the thrift stores a few months ago too, knowing how much wear I get from my Gap one. I still prefer the one from the good ol' Gap, but I do love that the J.Crew one is a little bit more "prepster" and a more true khaki color.
A DENIM SHIRT
Do you have "must haves" for your closet? Something you just can't live without?
