Sometimes Simple is Better

Recently I've been feeling really comfortable with my personal style. Obviously, I'm still young and I feel like I've kind of jumped different styles a lot (which is a huge part of growing up I think. I mean, who wants to wear the exact same clothes their whole life?). At times I've kind of just mimicked celebrities/bloggers/friends styles without meaning to. But lately I feel like I've been more and more just wearing what I want to wear, not dressing for a certain "look" or needing to run to the computer or a magazine for inspiration (although there's totally nonthing wrong with that!).

I kind of am loving it.
I don't really think about how other people "percieve" me and don't really care anymore.

Anyway. Sometimes simple is better, right? Skinny jeans and a button-down. That's pretty darn simple, but it's one of my favorite go-to outfits. Of course, I found this shirt thrifting the other day (you didn't really think I would make it through a post without mentioning thrifting, did you?) and the sweet color and polka dots just called my name. I love it with these skinny jeans because I feel like sometimes it can be hard to wear black skinnies without looking like I'm going back to my punk-rocker phase (hey, where did my spike wristbands and large collection of band tees go to anyway?) but this really balances it out.

P.S. this is me crackign up because my chickens have seperation anxiety issues and feel the need to be right next to me everytime I go outside. They're so silly.
