I'm still trying to convince J to let me do this on our laptop! I loooove wood grain contact paper!

FineandFeathered

It comes off SUPER easy if you change your mind or anything, so you definitely should!!

Megan G.

Oh my gosh this is so cool, I want to do this to my laptop right now!

Brandon

This is funny. I have exactly the same contact paper on the outside of my laptop as well... which is exactly the same model of laptop. My initial thought was "How did they get pictures of my laptop?"

Linn

This is so cool! I love it. I wouldn't do it at my MacBook Air (although being two years old now, it still looks brand new), but I have a terribly ugly PC laptop that I'm sometimes forced to use (read: for work) and I would love to restyle it like this.

Monika

Any chance you know the color wood that (or the one from your other laptop) is? Or the brand of contact paper you used?
It looks like honey oak but online photos from stores are very deceptive.

Another Great idea! I can't tell you how happy I am that I stumbled upon your site! I would love to be able to buy covers for my laptop, but who has the money to spend like that. Thank you so much for sharing another great idea. I am really looking forward to exploring your site and discovering many more wonderful DIY's!

FineandFeathered

So glad you enjoy my blog, Dawn! :)

Ana

It looks amazing! Where did you buy your contact paper, if you don't mind my asking. :)

FineandFeathered

Of course not Ana! It's pretty easy to find at Dollar Trees but I've also seen it in Wal-mart and craft stores before too.

Guida R

I am definitely going to try this. The great thing is you can pick up any print of contact paper you want even if it's not wood grain. Great idea, Thanks.
