My ladies have gotten so big! I still remember the week we got these girls (well, back then we were still just hoping they were girls!) and how tiny they were, and how we chased Chuck around the yard for a day after she escaped. Now they're huge and beautiful and laying delicious eggs every day. These two aren't quite as sisterly as Sam and Melanie were (they never went anywhere without each other!), but they do get excited to see me when I walk out everyday, which I love:)
They're beautiful! I had a white hen named Josefina (did you ever read the Josefina Story Quilt?), she was a commanding little creature. Which one is Chuck and which one is Olive?

Abigail - No! I have never read that, I'll have to sometime! Chuck is the white one and Olive is the black one:)

It's a children's book about a pioneer girl on the wagon trail and her pet hen Josefina. It's a little sad, but the hen saves the day.
